Henry de Grey

It is probable that he saw service in Gascony and Flanders, and he served in the wars against the Scots. He was present at the Battle of Falkirk, 1298, and at the Siege of Caerlaverock, 1300.

He died in 1308, and his possessions passed to his son, Richard.

Henry appears in The Falkirk Roll, H16 & The Caerlaverock Poem, K6, where he bears

Barry of six argent and azure

Richard de Grey, died 1271, bears the same arms in Glover's Roll, B42 & The Camden Roll, D175.

Robert de Grey, died 1295, in St George's Roll, E284, bears

Barry of six argent and azure a bend gules

John de Grey, died 1323, bears the same arms in The Falkirk Roll, H38.

Another John de Grey, died 1272, in Glover's Roll, B43 & St George's Roll, E191, bears

Barry of six argent and azure a label gules

Reynaud de Grey, died 1308, bears the same arms in The Falkirk Roll, H62; The Camden Roll, D132 & St George's Roll, E46.

John de Grey, died 1323, in The Caerlaverock Poem, K62; St George's Roll, E141 & The Galloway Roll, GA104, bears

It is possible that he is the same John, above, who died in the same year. Both bore a bend.

Adam de Grey, in St George's Roll, E72 & Charles' Roll, F46, bore

Barry of six argent and azure in chief three torteaux
